About Us

Behind LebanEasy is a group of native and non-native speakers of colloquial Lebanese, dedicated to the preservation and teaching of spoken Lebanese dialect, a variety of Levantine Arabic. Our phonetic system is based on Said Akl's "Lebanese Alphabet", which uses Latin letters for simple learning. Our contributors are located in Beirut, Lebanon, and around the world.

If you wish to participate in this project, please send us an email.

Thank you for visiting LebanEasy!

IMPORTANT: LebanEasy is not associated with any political parties, nor religious institutions. We do not promote national ideologies, nor identities. We do not consider Lebanese dialect an independent language of Arabic. Our use of latin letters is solely for practical purposes. We do not intend in any way to romanize Modern Standard Arabic.
