Connective T

Lebanese Poet Saïd Akl

Connective T:

Most nouns ending in short vowels 'e' and 'a', appear in a special construct form when followed by a separate word. In construct form, final short vowels 'e' and 'a' take the form 'it' or 't'.

Examples:

  • 'closet - kzêne' - 'my mom's closet - kzênit çimmi'
  • 'room - çûda' - 'my room - çûdti'
