Word plurals are always shown between rounded brackets {}.

Example:



  • house - beyt {byût} = houses - byût


When the initial word structure is the same, plurals are sometimes reduced to a suffix like {ât},  {êt},  {yêt},  {în},  {iyye}.

Examples:



  • car - siyyâra {ât} = cars - siyyârât
  • building - binêye {êt} = buildings - binêyêt
  • studio - stûdyo {yêt} = studios - stûdyoyêt
  • atheist - milxid {în} = atheists - milxidîn
  • Christian - masîxi {iyye} = Christians - masîxiyye
